The New Enterprise Incentive Scheme
(NEIS) helps eligible unemployed people
to start and run their new, viable small
business. NEIS can help you become
self-sufficient and independent by
establishing a new small business.

time of commencing NEIS assistance

Training and work Full Time in the
proposed NEIS Business

Not an undischarged bankrupt

Not received NEIS Assistance for a
similar business activity·

Not received
NEIS Assistance in the previous two
years
You must also be
one of the following:

An
Indigenous Australian

Receiving Stream Services under
Streams 3 or 4, or
-
If receiving Stream Services under
Streams 1 or 2, is proposing a NEIS
Business that meets the Skills
Shortage area criteria, or

Referred by DEEWR
